Strength classes are 45 minute workouts that are a mix of different types of
strength methods including: powerlifting (e.g. deadlifts, squats, presses), Olympic weightlifting
example, clean and jerks and snatch), gymnastics (e.g. handstands, muscle ups and pull ups) and
Metcon are 45 minute classes that are all about focusing on building fitness.
The workouts look similar to High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) classes. They include movements
box jumps, running, Assault bikes, burpees and a mixture of different types of weightlifting and
There is a huge variety of movements that can be done, which adds to the enjoyment.
Outside of the Monday to Friday programmed classes the TG
membership also provides open gym access where you can practice different skills or
catch up on missed classes.
This time can also be used for you to have personal training sessions.
We truly believe that our classes are the best way to achieve your goals but we
understand that different lifestyles may make it difficult to commit to class schedules. Therefore
we are also
able to offer Personal Training sessions. These sessions will be run by Brad who is an experienced

As well as this we also put out social events every month, for example a local get-together with
other gyms for
a Throwdown (a friendly competition). As a gym we value building relationships with other like
minded people to
promote health and fitness in Wales, therefore we are always looking for these opportunities. If you

The ‘Induction Course’ runs throughout each month. It is designed to teach you the fundamentals of
fitness taining whilst
giving you an understanding of how the coaching, programming and classes work here at
Signing up to the course gives you unlimited access to all classes offered at the gym for a MONTH;
we reccomend you complete the ‘Develop’ workouts during your first month. You are also provided with
a 1 to 1 Personal Training session to soilidify your knowledge of the fundamental movements. This
will allow you to get the best possible start and ensure your success moving forward with us.
TG is a gym kitted out with all brand-new equipment. Boasting
more than 1,500kg of bumper plates, a selection of 15kg and 20kg Olympic bars, kettlebells, ropes,
dumbbells, Ski Ergs, Sandbags, Worms, Assault bikes and much more (including a running track)!
We also have a one-of-a-kind bespoke gymnastic rig specially made for TG. We sell
TG gym apparel, protein bars and recovery drinks. We also provide separate male and
changing facilities with spare cosmetics if you forget your own. There’s plenty of free parking
best of all we have FREE COFFEE to help fuel your workouts.
When you sign up to TG you are required to download an app called BoxChamp.
BoxChamp has loads of features including logging the workouts you do! This is great because we are
repeat some workouts (we call these re-tests) that were done in a class at the start of the 6-week

Logging your performance is important because it also ensures that every workout is adapted to you
fitness journey! For example, in the workouts there are no prescribed weights but instead we work

At TG we recognise the importance of promoting overall wellbeing. To support this we offer a
class focusing on developing our mindset during workouts drawing on psychological approaches such
Acceptance and Compassion. Each class is facilitated by a Clinical Psychologist. Further information

TG has collaborated with Stretchy Suzie’s Yoga Studio in Cathays. Once a week members of
CrossFit TG on an Unlimited Membership package are able to attend the Thursday 6:45pm Power
class. We find that Yoga is a great way to supplement your CrossFit training and are very pleased to
developed a relationship with these guys.
This is our outdoor group class that is designed to push you to your limits. Classes take place in
our beautiful welsh landscapes, they vary from workouts on the beach to trail running up mountains!
Details of the location exact location and what to prepare for are revealed 3 days before to give an
element of anticipation. All abilities are encouraged to take on the challenge!
We don’t believe Sunday’s are for resting! Inspired by CrossFit Linchpin, this session consists of 3
workouts back-to-back which sit outside of the weekday TG programme. The volume and skill is high. A
competition atmosphere is encouraged. Although this is a non-coached class advice regarding how to
tackle the workout is given!
